Mathematical Logic – Online Course
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the course in Mathematical Logic for the 2020/21 academic year will be held online. Although the material (required content, slides, etc.) will be the same, the lessons will be remote and pre-registered. The format of a lesson changes too: instead of a remote classroom lecture, a series of video clips are provided, possibly with some additional notes. Note that video clips have subtitles in English and Italian.
The student is required to see and read the material in advance. Afterwards, at scheduled time (sorry, this is independent from the teacher) there will be question answering (Q/A) sessions, which will be online using the university conference call system. The schedule of the Q/A sessions will appear in due time on this page. During a Q/A session it is assumed that a student has already seen the clips and the additional material the session is referring to.
Assignments will be managed by making them available online at a predefined time. The student has two hours to send back the answer via email (use the official university address) to the teacher.
To connect to a Q/A session, follow the provided link and authenticate on the university website.
In general, a video clip is more compact than a traditional lecture: the ratio used in this course is that 10 minutes of a clip correspond roughly to 30 minutes of a class lesson. Please, keep in mind that this ratio indicates that students have to perform more work. Clips are organised as conceptual units.
